The State Government sanctioned the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) to Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh state. According to this, the Ministry of Human Resources Development had sent the land selection and government approval details to the Higher Education department. The district authorities ordered to choose the suitable land in Kakinada rural areas for the IIIT. It is required to be sanctioned by the Union Government. Sources said that it is just formal as the Union HRD Minister Mr. M.M.Pallam Raju belongs to Kakinada area only. So it is going to be sanctioned by the Central Government too. One more IIIT is going to be sanctioned to our State that is in Medak district, but it is in priliminary stage. However, Kakinada is going to bag one more credit in its history.
