Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is coming soon to the district with IT & its related courses with high quality of amenities. Both the government & private affiliation is going on for this institution establishment. According to the sources, the Central Minister of Human Resources Development (HRD) Mr. M.M.Pallam Raju is going to lay down the foundation stone for IIIT, here on 27th of this month at JNTU-K Sports grounds in Kakinada. This is going to be the third National level IIIT in the state, after Hyderabad & Chitoor districts. It is going to be established in around 100 acres of land at Kakinada rural Thondangi mandal in the district.
