Hyderabad, Feb 13th: The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) is luring M.Tech students of IIT-Kharagpur and IIT-Madras with IIT pay scales to recruit them as faculty in the IITs at Basar, Nuzividu and Idupulapaya. Mr. Raja Kumar, the vice chancellor of the RGUKT will begin recruitment drive for IIITs at IIT-Kharagpur on Monday. He will them visit IIT-Madras. He plans to recruit 100 faculty members this time. The three IIITs, which started their academic activities in 2009-10 admit a total of 6,000 students after SSC every year.
The course duration is of six years after SSC, two years of 10+2 and four years of engineering. The first batch of students will complete 10+2 this year and join engineering courses. This has forced RGUKT to recruit engineering faculty before the commencement of the 2010-11 academic year.
