IFFCO’s regional cooperative conference was organized by kakinada IFFCO office at krishibhavan this Wednesday. The marketing executive of Indian farmers Fertilizers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), New Delhi was the chief guest. In this occasion Mr.roy said “Due to global recession, IFFCO turnover had come down nearly 40% this year compared to last year. Turnover is just 20,000 while last year it was 33,000. The reason behind this turnover was result of several efforts like expenditure on purchasing fertilizers which are useful to farmers in the country.
He also said the new project Agro food park at kisan special economic zone is in progress. Primary focus of this project would be on food processing and agro based industries. This project was proposed to provide chance to small and marginal farmers to sell their produce in the international market. It is being set up in the region of 27,00 acre at regadichiluka village in nellore district .This site is located close to national highway and 40km away from krishnapatnam port in nellore.
Mr. Praveen Reddy, The IFFCO director said that 5 costal districts were covered under the office and total geographical area of the five districts was 42.10 lakh hectares, wherein the normal crop area was 25.90 lakh hectares.
IFFCO had supplied 183kgs of NPK (Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) for all crops according to IFFCO reports.
