Union Minister of State for Defence, Mr. MM Pallam Raju called upon that Chartered Accounts play crucial role in the development of country. He participated in the inaugural function of Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI) Southern region branch here at NFCL Road on Saturday. Minister inaugurated by lightening the lamp (Jyothi Prajwalana). Speaking on this, Mr. Pallam Raju stated that Chartered Accountants were given most priority in accordance with the changes in state of affairs across the world. Minister appreciated the financial supporters Reliance, NFCL, SRMT companies, IOC Dealer Mr. D.Lakshmana Murthy. ICIA President, Mr. G. Rama Swamy (New Delhi) stated that this institute was started in the year 1949 with 2000 members. At present, there are total 1.70 lakh members, 7 Lakh CA students are part of this institute, he added. He stated that branch in east region is at Kolkatta, west region is at Mumbai, south region is at Chennai and north and middle region is at New Delhi.
