Hyderabad, May 13th: Intelligence Bureau received warning about possible terror attack in South India after elections. With the poll counting just a day head the city was kept in high alert. On receiving the news the security has been tightened in the city. According to the Deputy Commissioner of the city security wing, Mr. R.B Naik, 13 bomb disposal teams were formed in which 8 teams consist of five members each and the remaining consists of 3 member each.
Separate sensitization programs have been carried out with those managing hotels, religious places, shopping complexes, cinema theaters and commercial establishments. The lodge and private hotel owners have been instructed to take identity proofs from the customers while renting rooms for them. DCP of Madhapur zone, Mr. Vijay Kumar said that the authorities have issued all possible guide lines to protect the city from terror attacks.
The city security wing proposes to hold a meeting soon with IT officials in their jurisdiction to sensitize them about the alert. Dog squads have been formed and sensitization programs for officials has been intensified. To strengthen the existing security measures a special commando team has also been formed.
