Humiliated girl ends life

Warangal, Aug 7th: Feeling embarrassed and humiliated following an attack on her by a classmate, a 20 year old girl committed suicide by consuming pesticide at the Ameenabad village on the district on Friday. The young girl was found in an unconscious state by her parents. Even as her parents were taking her to the area hospital, she succumbed on the way. The body has been shifted to the Narsampet are hospital for post mortem.

 

The girl’s parent said that she went into depression after she was attacked by Avala Nagaraju, who had proposed to her several times but was always turned down. On Tuesday, when Jaya has gone to her college to pay the examination fee to clear backlogs subjects, Nagaraju pounced on her and slit her hand with razor. On Friday when no one was home she consumed pesticide.

 

Jaya’s parents lodged a complaint with the Chennaraopet police alleging that their daughter took the extreme step unable to tolerate the harassment by Nagaraju. When police took Nagaraju into custody, they found cuts all over his body. He has been termed a “psycho lover”.
