Hyderabad, Nov 2nd: The auspicious program “Kalyanamastu” conducted by Tirumala Thirupathi Devasthanam was a great success at its 4th schedule. Nearly 8,000 Couples were brought together under the marriage bond across the state.
Mr. N.D.Tiwari and the Chief Minister blessed the couples who married at Lalitha Kala Thoranam here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion Tiwari said that, this is the great opportunity for the couples and their families who could not afford marriage expenses, and also added that is very pleasure for him to have in this auspicious occasion.
Under the scheme nearly Rs. 6,000 will be spend on each couple for distribution of golden mangalasutra, silver toe rings and new clothes. Under the program conducted in Thirupathi nerly 75 couples tied the knot and Haryana Revenue Minister was the chief guest for the program.
The TTD has decided to extend this program national wide. TTD Chairman Mr.Adikeshavulu Naidu speaking on the occasion said that, TTD was planning to implement the scheme in other states in the upcoming schedules.
