Amalapuram, May 12th: Huge response was received for the JMR scholarship test organized by Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy Education and Medical Society on Tuesday. The National level exam in the district was conduced at local Aditya Public School premises and nearly 510 students studying from class VIII to degree level attended the exam. The exam was held under the supervision of society director, J. Malleswararao. Society in charge S. Subramanyam and Praveen invigilated the examination center and inspected the arrangements over there.
According to the society director, Malleswararao, the results for the test will be announced on second week of June. Director revealed that 10 students from VIII class, 25 students each from class IX and X and 15 students from intermediate will be selected at district level for the scholarships. 30 degree students will also be selected under zonal level. The selected candidates will be offered with free education of their choice till completion of their studies.
The society is offering this service of free education since 2007 and in the year it has provided free education to 10 students and for the academic year 2008 it has selected 37 students under the program. In addition to this the society is also offering free education to orphans and physically challenged children. Parents of few students appreciated the society for its services towards educating children at no cost.
