Youth called upon to save earth from Global warming by saving power. Earth Hour 2012 was conducted in major areas of Kakinada here on Saturday night. In association with WWF, Kakinada Municipal Corporation, Nyros Technologies, Inkakinada.com and Godavari Chamber of Commerce, Earth Hour 2012 was conducted from 8:30pm to 9:30pm here on Saturday night. As part of this, Kakinada municipal corporation switched off street lights for one hour. Later, youth raised slogans like “ Save the Power and Save the Earth” and participated in a candle light rally. In the last year Earth Hour 2011, the rally was commenced at just Bhanugudi Junction but this year this rally started at several junctions like Karnamgari Junction, Bhanugudi Junction, Sarpavaram Junction, RTO Office, ZP Center, Gandhi Nagar, Vidyuth Nagar, Jagannaickpur and many other major areas. Hundreds of students took part in this rally. In this program, JNTU-K VC Tulasi Ram Das and CEO Of Nyros Technologies Mr. M. Pavan Kumar participated.
