Kakinada, Feb 16^th: This year huge competition is likely to exist for the teachers recruitment test DSC-2008. Arrangements were done by the authorities to fill 3,000 vacant posts and huge competition will exist as nearly 30,000 applications were received for the same. The program of accepting the applications continued for two months. At last the process was concluded on February 15^th. Initially the government has announced the date for submitting the applications from December 15^th, 2008 to January 15^th, 2009. Later the date was extended to February 10^th and again to February 15^th.

Extension of the date by the authorities showed lot of impact on the increase of the number of applications. The other changes made by the authorities in the notification includes extension of age limit and acceptance of the applications from the pursuing candidates. These changes altogether showed a massive effect on the increase of competition. At last the grand total has reached to 33,386. Sources reveal that, with this increased number the competition would likely to be in the ratio of 1:100.
