Kakinada, Feb 12^th: Election authorities are going to organize a five day awareness camp on the effective use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) to the villagers and to the uneducated people living in rural areas. All the arrangements are being made by the election authorities to organize the program at local revenue divisional office from 16^th to 20^th of February.

In connection to this awareness program a one day training program was organized to the concerned revenue, Panchayatraj staff, MPDO’s and the mandal tahsildars on Thursday. Kakinada revenue divisional officer, Mr. G.C Kishore Kumar presided over the meeting. He trained all the officers of bringing awareness among the people for the effective use of the EVM’s.

The authorities have not only taken up this program to bring awareness among the people but also to enlighten them about the benefits and uses of this new system. It is the duty of the officers to educate the people that their vote will definitely go the candidate of their choice. Stress is also brought on the officers to bring awareness among the weaker sections too. This new system of using EVM’s leads to reduce burden of carrying ballet boxes to polling booths and also for easy counting process.
