Kakinada, Jan 12th: The Kakinada MP and the minister of State for Defence, Mr. M.M Pallam Raju inaugurated the complex of G+2 houses constructed under IHSD (Integrated Housing and Slum Development) program at J. Ramaraopeta here on Tuesday. He handover the keys to some of the total 48 beneficiaries on the day. Speaking on the occasion he said that the Congress government both at the Center and the State was working for the welfare of poor people. He also said that the welfare schemes taken up by the Congress government are inspiring many other states which are planning to follow the same for the welfare of the weaker sections.
MLC Chaitanya Raju, City MLA Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy and others took part in the inaugural function. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Reddy said that with an aim to allocate the houses to beneficiaries by Sankranthi they have speed the works by constructing 48 houses in two blocks with a cost of 68.40 lakh. He also revealed that they were planning to provide drinking water, drainage system and roads as soon as possible with an estimated cost of Rs 14.61 lakh. City Congress president Pora Ramu, Congress corporators and others participated.
