Kakinada, Dec 8th: Flag day celebrations were organized at the Amar Jawan memorial in zilla parishad center on Monday. On this occasion, District collector Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has promised to extend housing to ex-servicemen.
Speaking on the occasion collector remembered the services done by the army people to the country. He praised their role of them in saving the nation from external threats. He appealed the people to contribute generously for the welfare of the ex-servicemen.
Collector gave his first donation on this occasion. He distributed tricycles and cash incentives to the ex-servicemen who were disabled in war. Responding to the plea of housing to the ex-servicemen, collector said that the government is exploring all possibilities to provide ground and housing to the ex-army people in Yetimogga area.
