Kakinada, Jan 7th: East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi said that the district administration is planning to develop the hope island into a tourist hub. A meeting was organized with the officials of Oil and Natural Gas here on Thursday at collectorate court hall. Speaking on the occasion he asked the officials to send proposals to the forest and tourism ministry for their permission over the issue. He also revealed that the Reliance Industries is willing to contribute 50 crore over the project.
Amalapuram MP G.V Harsha Kumar also spoke on the occasion. He promised to extend his help in all means for the project including the collection of funds and permissions. They are also hoping to get funds from Gail, ONGC, Cairn, GSPC and others. ZP chairman Venugopala Krishna, Mummidivaram MLA Ponnada Satish, JC K. Sasidhar, Tourism Corporation DPM Surya Prakash Rao, DRO Mohan Babu and other participated.
