Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mrs. Sabitha Indra Reddy  paid an Official Visit to the East Godavari District here on Friday. According to her visit, MLA's Mr. Dwarampudi Chandrashekar Reddy and Mr. Pantham Gandhi Mohan with their followers, extended a hearty welcome to the Hon'ble Home Minister at Morning 9am at Kakinada town railway station. She had reside at R & B Guest house, Kakinada. Minister Mr. Thota Narasimham, MLA's Mr. Kurasala Kannababu, Mrs. Vanga Geeta, Mr. Ponnada Satish & other Congress officials expressed their welcome on her visit. Later, Mrs. Sabita Indra Reddy presided over the state level seminar on 'Media-Police-social responsibility' organised by the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) here at Ambedkar Bhavan. Speaking on this, She stated that Government would soon reconstitute the state level panel on prevention of onslaughts against Journalists. She said, both media & police should make coordinated efforts for the well being of the society. Union Minister of State for Defence M M Pallamraju also presided over the program and stated that these types of programs would help to develop healthy environment & good rapport between media and police. Mrs. Sabita claimed that state government was according priority to the welfare of the journalists also and cited as many as 20,000 accreditations issued to journalists all over the state as against 2,000 to 3,000 issued by the neighbouring states. She also claimed that the credit for sanctioning house sites to journalists in 18 districts at a time should go to late Chief Minister Sri. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. State Minister for Stamps & Registrations Mr. Thota Narasimham, MLA's Smt. Vanga Geeta, Mr. Dwarampudi Chandrashekar Reddy, Mr. Kurasala Knnababu, Mr. Nallamilli Seshareddy, MLC Mr. K.V.V.Satyanarayana Raju & other officials were present.
