Notification has been released to fill the Home guard posts here on Saturday. SP Dr.CM.Trivikrama Varma released this notification. They are planning for total 220 posts across the District to be filled. Arrangements were being made to conduct the selections on 4th and 5th of July at Kakinada Police Parade Grounds. Intermediate/10th or Equivalent qualified candidates with age limit 20-30 years are eligible. Male candidates must be 167.6cm height and 81.3 to 86.3cm chest. Female candidates must be 152.5cm height and 45.5Kgs weight, he added. For male candidates, 100m running in 15 seconds, 120m high jump and 900m running to be completed in 170 seconds will be conducted. At the same time, for female candidates, 100m running in 18 seconds, 275m long jump and 4.50m shot put tests will be conducted, he added. In these selections, Medical Compounders, Pharmacists, Heavy Vehicle Drivers, Electricians, Swimmers, AC Mechanics, Band Players, Civil Defence, Barbour, Dhobi, Carpenter, Plumbers will be given first preference, he added. At the same time, total 27 female home guard posts in sub jail are available. These posts will also be filled in these selections, he added. Residents nearby to sub jail will be given more preference. Respective women candidates living near to sub jails of Kakinada, Pitapuram, Amalapuram, Ramachandrapuram, Peddapuram, Rajole, Kothapeta, Tuni and Prathipadu can apply. Interested candidates must attend with 10th class marks list, birth certificate, two passport size photographs, he concluded.
