Home Guards celebrated their 49th Foundation Day here on Tuesday at Police Parade Grounds in Kakinada. According to this, Superintendent of Police, Dr. Trivikrama Varma presided over the celebrations as a chief guest. Speaking on this, He stated that Home Guards perform multifarious jobs, including conducting elections, maintaining law and order and providing services, during natural and man-made disasters. He said, State Government is planning to implement many programs for the further development of the department. Home Guards presented a parade and highlighted their disaster management skills on the occasion. Later, Dr. Trivikrama Varma has presented awards to the winners in the parade. Additional SP’s Mr. A.Subbarao & Mr. Navadeep Singh Grawel, DSP B.Sai Sri, Home Guard’s DSP Mr. Mehar baba, C.I Mr. Ch.Ravikanth, Mr. R.V.S.N.Murthy, Mr. G.Deva Kumar and others participated in the celebrations.
