Kakinada, July 7th: The East Godavari district administration is planning to start a home exclusively for the HIV positive children. This was announced by the district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi at a review meeting held at collectorate on Tuesday. Officials belonging to AIDS (Acquired Immunity Deficiency Syndrome) control society and other allied persons participated in the meeting. The steps to be taken for the eradication and the proper control of the decease were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion collector pointed out that lack of coordination among the departments, ineffective conduct of certain targets entrusted to NGO’s affected the control of the decease. He revealed to form a committee over the issue to weed out the irregularities. Aiming to provide nutritious food and greater awareness bout the disease we are planning to start a home for HIV affected children, he said. DMHO, D. Vijay Kumar, Additional DMHO, M. Pavan Kumar, Kakinada general hospital superintendent, Mr. M.B.R Sharma and other participated in the meeting.
