The Nation paid homage to Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 65th Death Anniversary here on Wednesday. The day also observes as Martyr's Day in the memory of its freedom fighters. As a part of this, the District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad paid floral tribute to Bapuji at Gandhi park in Kakinada. Later, Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Ramarao, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ravi Kumar and other officials also paid tribute to the apostle of peace at his memorial. Speaking on this, Collector has stated that every one should follow Gandhi to develop our country. Bapuji has taught that all are equal, so every individual should believe that no religion will separate the country, she added. A series of functions are being organized all over the city to mark the occasion.
