District Collector, Mr.M.Ravi Chandra declared holiday for Revenue Divisional Office and Tahasildar offices due to MLC elections being conducted on Monday. In the authority of District Elections Officer, orders were released this Sunday. According to this, Tahasildar offices in Kakinada, Peddapuram, Rampachodavaram, Rajahmundry Division centers and RDO office in Amalapuram will be closed on Monday. However, this holiday will not be applicable to Kakinada Sub Treasury office located in the premises of Kakinada Urban Tahasildar Office. At the same time, counting of MLC elections will be conducted at Bennet Club at the premises of Collectorate on Wednesday i.e., on the 23rd of this month. Therefore, all Government offices in Collectorate premises will be closed on Wednesday.
