The Hindu Education Plus (E-Plus) Club  was formed by MCA & MBA students of Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET) this Friday. E-Plus Club was inaugurated on February 16. The E-Plus Club is aimed at improving the English language skills (both written and spoken) of students who fail to earn good jobs in spite of having excellent academic records. The main reason is they are lagging behind in communication skills. By becoming a part of the E-Plus Club activity, the MCA students have given themselves a better chance to improve their soft skills, especially English in which job seekers are supposed to be strong enough to earn not just good but great jobs. Addressing the students, E-Plus Club resource persons Mohamed Abdullah and P.V. Rama Sasank, both Directors of Conduira Education and Training Services Private Limited, Visakhapatnam, said most students hesitate to speak in English, which is very necessary for a successful career, due to fear of failure.  “Students should fight their own battles for which they need to properly equip themselves”.

Mr. Abdullah said students have to learn from the successes and failures of fellow students who would be friends in the classrooms but direct competitors in job arena. The employers do not want to listen to excuses when they go out on a campus recruitment. Both communication skills and body language create a lasting impression, which is the reason why students should put their best efforts to realize their dreams. Sumit Bhattacharjee, Principal Correspondent of The Hindu, explained about the E-Plus Club activities to students and suggested to them to be as much interactive through English language medium to achieve fluency over the years. Communicating in good English is a must for upcoming professionals be in MBA or computer applications. KIET Director D John Uday Kumar, Principal A.V.S.N. Murthy, Heads of Departments of MBA and MCA, Shaher Shaik and S.V. Prasad, Placement Officer Y Ramakrishna and others were present.
