High alert in railway stations and public areas

 Rajahmundry, Nov 27th: Following the terrorists attack in Mumbai, Red alert was declared in the district. Security forces made their functions more alert in public areas, railway stations, bus complexes and pilgrim places. Cops were making the searches with sniffer dogs and bomb squads in these areas.

Keeping in mind regarding the attacks of the terrorists in Mumbai the intelligence department are more alert and doing hunts in few places like Government hospitals, public parks, railway stations etc. Pilgrims were detected using metal detectors and more security forces were arranged in Madhurapudi Airport in the district.

SP Y.Nagi Reddy has send notices to the divisional police and district police to continue their searches in lodges, hotels and to arrest the suspecting persons. On Thursday evening RPF and GRP police has jointly arrested 6 unidentified persons and will produce them in railway court on Friday.

Bharatiya Janatha Party and CPI of Kakinada units condemned the terrorists attack at Mumbai. They organized rally in the city roads by burning the effigy of terrorism at TTD junction on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion the persons involved in the rally said that the terrorism in Mumbai is an indication of failure of intelligence setup in the city. They also burn the effigy of terrorism at the district collectorate.
