District Collector and Red Cross Society President Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has inaugurated the statue of Mr. Henry Dunant, who is the Founder of International Red Cross, here on Thursday. The statue was arranged with expenses of Rs.2.60 Lakhs in Red Cross Society, Gandhi nagar. Speaking on this, Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that the society is providing services to the society in many aspects. Many development works are executed by the society in the district, she added. The society has collected Rs.1 crore of funds and submitted to the State Government for development works for 2012-13, she stated. The society will continue the services, she added. Red Cross Society Secretary Dr. P.Durga Raju, Members Dr. Aaluri Vijaya Lakshmi, Dr. Siva Ramakrishna, Mr. T.A.Madhava Swamy, Mr. Siva Kumar, Mr. Satyanarayana, Dr. Pydah Ramakrishnayya, Mr. Pydah Nageswara Rao and others participated in the program.
