A heavy rainfall was observed on the fourth consecutive day on Thursday in Kakinada. These continuous rains bought Kakinada to a grinding halt. This incessant rain triggered by the North-East Monsoon. It will be continued for another 48-hrs, according to the weather report. Rain water entered into many colonies and gushed into the homes in the city. Around 1200 members were suffered and became helpless due to these incessant rains. Several homes flooded, trees uprooted and roads are totally damaged due to this heavy rain. Movement of vehicles was severely hit in many areas in the city. All the areas including Mainroad, RTC Complex road, Municipal Office, Pratap Nagar, Sambamurthy nagar and many other areas observed the blockade of rain water. The residents of Kakinada are in perplexity due to these continuous rains. Also some of the commercial establishments & Educational Institutions were remained closed due to rains. Kakinada recorded a heaviest rainfall of 157.6 mm on Thursday.
