Kakinada, Mar 2nd: With an aim to help the physically handicapped people who are economically backward, the government has taken a program of issuing free health cards. At the grievance cell organized on Monday at district collectorate, East Godavari district collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has distributed the health cards to all the eligible physically challenged people. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Dwivedi asked the PH people to avail this facility of free health cards by getting treatment in any of the recognized hospitals.
Uma Manovikasa Kendram executive director S.P Reddy also spoke on the occasion. He revealed that this facility of health policy cards was introduced by the national trust. He said that with these cards the patients can go ahead with a free treatment worth Rs 1 lakh. In every district nearly 500 members will be issued with these cards. Welfare society M.D, K Jeevan Babu said that the eligible people who want to avail this facility can apply directly for the cards at Mano Vikasa Kendram, Vakalapudi or can call 884-2306039.
