Kakinada, Feb 10th: A woman who was working as head nurse in Kakinada government general hospital died on duty on Tuesday due to severe heart attack. She was serving the people as a nurse from past 25 years. As an appreciation to her services, she was promoted as head nurse in the month of January.
According to the sources provided by the hospital, Mrs. K.V Subha Mahalakshmi, 58, was working in Kakinada government hospital since 10 years. As usual on Tuesday morning Lakshmi attended the duty. While attending duty in ward number 5 she suddenly collapsed in the chair. The other nurses who were on duty intimated the same to the higher authorities. The doctors who examined Lakshmi declared her to be dead due to cardiac arrest. Hospital superintendent, M.B.R Sharma, Dr. Mohan Rao, other doctors and staff expressed their anguish towards the death of the nurse.
