Griggs competitions inaugurated

Kakinada, Dec 14th: Kakinada zone griggs competitions for girls were grandly inaugurated at the district sports grounds here on Monday. The competitions were organized under the supervision of the organizing secretary Suguna Ratnakumari. Nearly 350 sports persons from in and around Kakinada city participated in the competitions. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Suguna Kumari said that the Ball Badminton, Table Tennis, and Athletics competitions will be held from Dec 28, 29 and 30 at Salipeta Girls High School.

For the competitions held on Monday, PR Govt Girls High School students stood first in the Basket Ball and Y.A.M students stood in the second position. In Hockey, Salipeta girls high school and Samalkot girls high school bagged first and second positions respectively. The games were also conducted in various categories and each school competed with the other and won the prizes. PETs Aruna, Raviraju, Venkatesh, Rajashekar and other took part in the program.
