Kakinada, Oct 20th: Plenty of petitions were received by the collector regarding many issues on Monday at district collectorate. As Collector Gopala Krishna Dwivedi was on camp, the petitions were examined by the Joint collector Kona Sasidhar.
Nearly 890 petitions were received out of which many of them were regarding pensions relating to widows, physically handicapped and old age people, and few of them were related to private, public issues , ration cards and house sites. Joint collector ordered the concern departments to consider the petitions.
Tricycles were issued to the PH persons who applied under the Grievance Cell. Nearly 40 people were sanctioned with pensions on the spot and district health minister Vijay Kumar said that the remaining petitions will also be considered soon. Handicapped welfare association ED Jeevanbabu, ICDS project director Vidyavati, BC Corporation ED Manjula and many more participated in the program.
