Kakinada, Mar 16th: Grievance cells are set up by the Kakinada Revenue divisional authorities on the public distribution system (PDS) in the 10 mandal from Ugadi. Kakinada RDO Dr. G. C. Kishore Kumar said that, with the new system customers can lodge their complaints to these cells at the mandal thasildhar offices in addition to dropping them in complaint boxes at the village level. In return thasildhars will attend to complaints on the day of the food advisory committee meetings. These mandals include Kakinada urban, Kakinada rural, Karapa, Kajuluru, Tallarevu, Pedapudi, Samarlakota, U-Kothapalli, Pithapuram and Gollaprolu. Similarly, complaints at the village level and fair price shops would be attended by the food advisory committees on monthly basis. Verification of ration cards will also be taken up at the division level with thasildhars undertaking the activity.
