Greyhounds Excavate Maoist dump

Kakinada, May 5th: Greyhounds and the anti-Naxalite squad seized a Maoist dump in the Agency area during combing operations in the Agency area of East Godavari between Y. Ramavaram and Jyotimamidi villages on Sunday. The dump consists of 4 claymore mines of seven to eight kg weight each banded gelatine sticks. The combing party also seized fuse wires and detonators.

 
The Rampachodavaram assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Dr C.M. Trivikram Varma, told to media persons at the district police office on Tuesday that the iron material used in the dump was purchased from an old iron shop. A case was booked in Y. Ramavaram police station and investigation is on. As per the information of the police the dump may be kept over there 2years ago. Mr. Varma also said that strict vigil was being continued over the movement of Maoists in the Agency area. The police appreciated the Greyhounds party that include R.S.I. Suribabu, A.S.I Satish, S.I Bajilal.
