Kakinada, Jan 18^th: The management of Pragathi Engineering College, Surampalem has organized its anniversary celebrations in a grand way. The celebrations took place at Rangaraya Medical College auditorium on Sunday. Students of the college have participated in different programs organized on the occasion with more energy and enthusiasm. JNTU Vice Chancellor Mr. Allam Apparao was the chief guest for the occasion. He did Jyothi Prajwalana and initiated the program.

College Correspondent, S Poorna Chandra Rao presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the college students who did excellence in the academic careers. He thanked the students for driving the college towards success in a very short period. He also congratulated the students who were placed in various multi national companies through campus interviews. Later the cultural events were organized by the students.

Students attracted the audience with their mimicry and Fashion shows. Right from Hollywood to Tollywood various dance programs were organized. Cultural dance programs were also organized. Chandrayan program performed by final year E.C.E students stood highlight in the show. Former principal of PR College, Mr. Raghuram also participated in the celebrations. He shared his college days with the students. MLA Muttha Gopala Krishna, Congess leader P. Nanaji, Mayor Saroja, college chairman P. Krishna Rao. Principal M.V. Harinath, Director A. Kailasarao and others participated in the celebrations.
