Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTU-K) here will introduce grading system of giving absolute percentage of marks to the students of all engineering courses. A meeting was held at the university premises with all the Engineering and Pharmacy college principals in the district here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion the vice chancellor of the university, Mr. Allam Apparao said that with an aim to provide better educational system to the students the university is introducing few changes in the present system. He said that supplementary exams will be eliminated and grading will be introduced to the PG courses.
He asked the students to post their comments on the changes taking place in the examination procedure through principal website. He also asked to conduct valuation with more care and asked to arrange IB Phones to communicate directly with the valuation staff. Director of Evaluation said that they were taking the initiative in the examination system with an aim to reduce the unhealthy competition among the students in securing marks in this competitive world. JNTU principal E.V Prasad, Pragathi college principal Kailash Rao and other participated.
