Gowtami Express train from Kakinada to Secunderabad has been cancelled as a part of Telangana ‘Rail Roko’ here on Monday. Telangana JAC called upon for Rail Roko and cancelled few Southern Central Railway trains. Due to this, nearly 2000 passengers felt inconvenient due to the cancellation of train. They immediately rushed to take bus tickets to travel through buses. Kakinada Station Manager, Mr. S. Nageswarao said that ticket charges will be returned to the passengers. He also said that as it was announced before 2 hours of the departure; passengers were able to cancel their tickets. There was loss of Rs.4.23 Lakhs due to cancellation, he added. Station Manager, Mr. Nageswaro said that there are chances of cancellation of Gowtami Express on Tuesday also, but not declared yet.
