Government to give interim relief to teachers. Shesha Reddy

Kakinada, Jan 4th: MLC for East and West Godavari districts, Mr. N Shesha Reddy revealed that the government has assured to give away the interim relief to the teachers. As per the state government, the teachers under apprenticeship system will get national increments in the form of remissions to GPF till 31st March and will effect from April 1st, 2009. A meeting was held at Aditya School, Bhanugudi on Sunday. Speaking to the media persons Mr. Shesha Reddy said that the chief minister, Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy has assured the school Teachers Federation (STF) and JACTO of doing away with the apprenticeship system. He also declared that with the new GO released by the government, an additional expenditure of 142 crore will be imposed on the state exchequer.


Demand to increase retirement age


Masjid Center: School Teachers Federation (STF) has made few demands to the government for the welfare of the teachers on Sunday at STF office. Speaking on the occasion the STF federation president Thotakura Sairama Krishna demanded the government to increase retirement age to 60 years. The other demands include medical reimbursement to municipal teachers and up gradation of grade-1 posts. They thanked the government for providing interim relief to teachers working under apprentice system. B. Ram Singh, S.A Narasimha Raju, S.A Rama Chandra Murthy and many more took part in the event.
