Hyderabad, August 3rd: The former home minister, Mr. T. Devendra Goud will join Telugu Desam Party along with his supporters on August 6. He announced his resignation from the Praja Rajyam on Monday at a meeting organized in his Banjara Hills house. He introduced a resolution seeking the permission of his followers to resign from the PR. The former minister, Mr. E. Peddi Reddy and others also passed a resolution and the same was sent to the PR office.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Goud thanked the PR president, Mr. K. Chiranjeevi for respecting him and consulting him on all major decisions. He said that he was rejoining TD to strengthen it as the Congress was trying to weaken the Opposition parties. He admitted that it was a blunder to resign TD party and realized that it was only the TD party to fight against the congress.
Meanwhile, PRP president, Mr. Chiranjeevi met senior leaders and took stock of the situation. They felt that Mr. Goud’s exit from the party will have a little impact on the party since the latter has already lost his credibility. Mr. Goud had launched the Nava Telangana Party after resigning from the TD and later joined PR.
