Vijayawada, July 29th: The Internet Bus flagged off by Google India to reach out to people with limited knowledge and exposure to the Internet, is reaching here on Thursday for a five-day tour. It will visit different educational institutions and public places in the city, before leaving for Machilipatnam for a three-day stay there from August 4 to 6.

After covering Eluru (August 7 and 8), Rajahmundry (August 9 to 11), Kakinada (August 12 and 13) and Bhimavaram (August 14 and 15), the bus will reach Guntur and stay there for five days from August 17 to 21.

The campaign will focus on four themes – information, communication, entertainment and education. The company will also engage local cyber café owners with an aim to build advocacy for this powerful medium. Google has also created platforms like the ‘Be Net Smart’ campaign aimed at students, parents and teachers to educate them on Internet safety.
