The Kakinada-Pithapuram Railway Line project is most likely to be given the final clearance. Yesterday, the State Government had issued GOMS No: 56 to provide land and funds for Kakinada-Pithapuram Railway Line project. According to this, the State Information Dept authorities released a press note here on Wednesday. 21.5 KM Broad gauge line will be arranged from Pithapuram to Kakinada under this project. Due to this decision, the Kakinada city will comes under the Major Railway Line. This is happened because of the HRD Minister Mr. M.M Pallam Raju’s regular follow-up of the proposal with the Ministry of Railways and State Chief Minister, sources said.
