Mogalttur, Nov 19th: Gang rape was done on a married minor girl by five men. The incident took place at mango orchards located near Kothulagunta area of Mogaltur in West Godavari district.
According to the information provided by the police, a minor girl of age 17, resident of Setharampuram was married to a man from Peravali last year. Due to some disturbances in the marriage life the girl was living with her parents in her own village.
On Tuesday she went to meet her relatives in near by village. As the door was locked she was on her way back to her village. Three men kidnapped and rapped her in near by fields. As the issue came to light villagers gave two escorts and asked them to take the girl to her village.
Taking the advantage of the incident the escorts also misbehaved with the girl. The Rapists were supported by some of the village heads. Girl escaped and reached police station. Police filed a case regarding the incident and arrested all the five persons.
