Over 350 police officers were on immersion duty at Upputeru to avoid unnecessary incidents during Ganesh Idol immersion. The immersion program continued until late in the night. The Ganesh idol immersion completed peacefully. As many as 184 idols were immersed at Upputeru near Jagannaickpur during the immersion program held under the aegis of City Ganesh Utsava Committee. Hundreds of idols were immersed in the sea at Uppada beach.
