Rajahmundry, Dec 3rd: Gandhian study center run at Y.N. College of Narasannapuram has taken an initiative to train the prisoners about Gandhian philosophies of truth and non violence. This decision has taken in order to make the prisoners to lead normal and peaceful life while in prison.
The Gandhian study center has already taken orientation programs to the inmates of Rajahmundry in explaining the importance of Gandhian philosophies that help them in following the traits of peace, non violence and truth. They organized a photo exhibition to the inmates during the orientation program.
The center will offer a three month certificate course on Gandhian philosophy to prison inmates. The course will launch at Rajahmundry central jail on 4th of December. Nearly 30 prisoners will avail this certificate course. Experts from US will deliver their lectures of Gandhian philosophy in this occasion.
Speaking to media, Gandhian study center director Dr. D. Venkateswara Rao said that their objective is to inculcate good habits in the inmates by teaching about the ahimsa policies of Gandhi and his tool of non-violence.
