Kakinada Rural: Lions Club leaders Sarveswararao, Kakinada Rural Mandal President Pedababu, Zone Chairman Ratna Prasad Rao and many more leaders participated in Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations in inaugurating the Gandhi statue at Thimmapuram. The statue was inaugurated by Nation Telugu Youth President Veera Venkata Satyanarayana. Under the leadership of MDO Manareddy many plants were planted in the city.
Sarpavaram Junction: Special programmes were conducted at J.N.T.U campus on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. The programmes were started by by a song written by the project engineer K.Purnanandam.
