Funds To tackle Water Crisis

The district administration has sent a proposal for sanctioning Rs. 4.81Cr towards the summer action plan for drinking water supply. Two hundred and fifty habitations have been identified for supplying water through tankers. Priority is attached to getting repairs done to tanks and other infrastructure to make sure that drinking water scarcity is relieved. The Rural Water Supply Department has been asked to make necessary arrangements to face the problems in summer month. The Animal Husbandry Department has been instructed to meet needs of drinking water for cattle. The Disaster Management Plan is being updated and sent to the government to avail of its financial assistance very soon so that there is no water crisis for this summer.
