Abhyudaya programme has been started to bring awareness in farmers about farming techniques to enhance agriculture income and also to help them financially to some extent. ATMA project director Mr. Seetharama Raju said that Rs. 16,20,000 fund has been released to help 180 farmers in the district under Abhyudaya Scheme. These funds are sanctioned mainly for crop protection, he added. He also said that each farmer will be provided with Rs.2000 which will be get deposited in their respective bank accounts. He said that already Rs.1000 each has been deposited in 610 farmers accounts as a part of first release and another Rs.1000 will be deposited in second release. Another list of 210 farmers is yet to be approved by our Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, he added. He said that ATMA has sent implementation manifesto to higher authorities of Rs. 3.58 crores for development plans of the year 2012-13. A fund of about Rs.25 lakhs sanctioned from the year 2008-09 to 2012 has been blocked in 18 various blocks in the district without utilizing them. Block level Farmers Advisory Committee Chairman will decide how to utilize these funds, he added.
