Rajahmundry, Aug 19th: The East Godavari joint collector, Mr. Kona Sasidhar, called for conducting a fresh survey on ration cards, housing and pensions. He made it clear that the program was not meant for weeding out the bogus ration cards but it was being conducted only to collect information pertaining to the cardholders and also to identify eligible persons who do not posses cards and make arrangements to issue cards to them.
Participating in an orientation session to the officials carrying out survey, here on Wednesday, JC revealed that as a part of state-wide program, the first phase survey would be conducted in Rampachodavaram, Seetanagaram and Ramachandrapuram mandals in Rajahmundry and Rampachodavaram revenue divisions. He said that similar awareness drive would also be taken up at village level. The information collected during the survey and the information already available would be synchronized and processed to the state pool.
