Kakinada, Dec 16th: State Bank of India has received a fraud call about placing a bomb in the bank premises. The incident took place on Tuesday at SBI main road at 10.30am. This is the second time the bank receiving a hoax call about placing a bomb soon after it started its operations.
According to the Accountant, he received a call from some unidentified person stating that a bomb is placed in the bank premises. Before he informed to the manager another bank officer Gopalam has received call stating the same. With both the calls manager and the staff became alert and informed about the call to the police.
A party headed by Circle inspector Mr Ch Ravikanth reached the place with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs. They searched the place for about an hour asking the staff to vacant the place. They found nothing and concluded the call to be a hoax. Both the calls received by the bank management were found to be made from coin box.
