Kakinada, Dec 4th: Ravvulapalem police nabbed on Thursday night, four people involved in several theft cases and recovered two country-made pistols and gold ornaments from them. The arrested are K. Srinivasa Rao of Pedanapalle village of West Godavari district, G. Srinu of Komarajulanka of Ravulapalam mandal of East Godavari, T. Venkatabalaji and S. Satyanarayana.
Giving details about the involvemnet of the arrested to newsmen here on Friday, East Godavari district superintendent of police (SP) Mr. Y. Nagi Raddy said that on the night of October 21, 2009, a gold shop owner K. Satyanarayana was going on his two-wheeler from Ravulapalam to Gopalapuram under Ravulapalam police station limits.
The four arrested along with another accomplice G. Vijaykumar stopped Satyanarayana on the road, threatened him to kill with pistols and made away with Mr. Satyanarayan's two wheeler, gold ornaments and Rs 25, 000. Mr. Satyanarayana lodged a complaint with the Ravulapalam police.
After investigation, Ravulapalam police including circle inspector Mr. N.B.M. Muralikrishna and sub inspector Mr Lakshmana Reddy caught the four during raids on Thursday night.
