National Sports Federation President, Mr. P.Chinaappa Reddy Students must take part in sports from High School Level itself. He visited JNTU-K here on Sunday and addressed media persons. Mr. Reddy stated that as corporate institutions has been introduced in the field of education, students are neglecting sports. Students are completely avoiding sports from intermediate level he added. He observed that Corporation Colleges are just focusing on studies and staying away from physical education. Students of 8th, 9th and 10th classes must concentrate on sports like 100m, 800m running, Shot put, Broad Jump and Pull-ups. Voluntary Organizations must also come forward for the development of sports. National Association of Physical Education Sports and Science Organization was started in the year 1987 at Haryana with just 25 members and present there are 600 members in this organization he added. Total 460 Universities across the country have membership in the organization he added. Training programs are provided in National Level for conducting tournaments scientifically he added.
