Flyover to be ready by Dec

Kakinada, Oct 26th: The much awaited flyover across the railway level crossing at Perrajupet near the RTC bus station complex in the city will be completed by the end of this year, the Kakinada legislator Mr. Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy said. The railways and the state government have provided their share of funds for the execution of the flyover, which is estimated to Rs 18 crore. The MLA, along with the official concerned inspected the works on Monday and enquired about the quality and period of the completion of the flyover, with the officials.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, the MLA said already the flyover was named after the former chief minister of the state Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy. The works of the establishments of water pipelines and electrical polls are yet to be completed. However it will come to on board by December 31 this year, he added. The executive engineer of the roads and buildings department, Mr. C.S.N Murthy said that the length of the flyover is 750 meter. The width of the road on the flyover is 7.5 meters in addition to 1.5 meters of footpath on its either side. Besides, a 5.5 meter width of service roads are being established under the flyover, he added.
