Hyderabad, July 22nd: Five more persons were tested positive for swine flu in city taking the total number of affected cases to 46. Four of the confirmed swine flu cases are children who accompanied their parents abroad. The fifth one is a woman who had landed in the city from US. The Chest Hospital Swine Flu nodal center coordinator, Dr. K. Subhakar said that the five victims were admitted at the Government Chest Hospital.
Till now 46 people were tested positive for the virus and 39 of them have been discharged. Apart from the seven swine flu cases under treatment at quarantine ward, six other cases were admitted to the different hospitals in Kondapur, King Koti and Vanasthalipuram hospitals.
With the number of swine flu cases increasing in the city, officials have been asked to check domestic air passengers also. The Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy on Wednesday, asked the officials not to ignore the domestic passengers as many of the travelers from abroad first land in either Mumbai or other metros before coming to the city.
